Tasha Belix
Registered Psychologist
Before becoming the director of Tasha Belix Psychology, Tasha worked as an adolescent addiction counselor and a play therapist for youth experiencing depression. She is also the founder and director of B’tween Girls Programs, a therapeutic group for girls aged 8 to 15, and contributes to Fast and Female, a mentoring program where acclaimed female athletes help girls build confidence through sporting activities. Tasha co-authored a children’s book about emotional awareness in 2019.
Dr. April Elliott
Pediatrician and Adolescent Medicine Specialist
April divides her time between the Alberta Children’s Hospital, where she’s a pediatrician and adolescent medicine specialist, and the University of Calgary, where she’s an associate professor in the Department of Pediatrics. Along with Dr. Monique Jericho, April has developed experiential leadership workshops that help medical professionals learn to use self-regulatory techniques like mindfulness to navigate emotionally challenging situations.
Adele Fox

Adele’s experience with treating disordered eating began in 1998 at the Inpatient Eating Disorders Program at Toronto General Hospital, which is now recognized as a leader in treatment and research in this field. For more than 20 years, Adele has worked with adolescents and adults struggling with eating disorders, as well as their families. She raises awareness and support for eating disorders in Alberta as a board member and clinical advisor for the Silver Linings Foundation.
Andrea Holwegner

The founder and CEO of Health Stand Nutrition Consulting, Andrea helps her clients create a healthy and joyous relationship with food and their bodies. She leads a team of experienced dietitians who help families through eating disorder recovery, as well as with food-related challenges like meal planning, sports nutrition, heart health and more. Andrea, who counts Olympic athletes among her clients, believes anyone can achieve health without guilt or complexity.
Dr. Monique Jericho
Psychiatrist
Monique is a physician working in the field of child and adolescent psychiatry. She focuses on helping clients with eating disorders and works with youth and families whose medical, psychological and social needs don’t easily fit into existing frameworks of care. As medical director of the Calgary Eating Disorder Program for more than 10 years, she has worked to deliver evidence-based care to patients and to promote research and community partnerships.
Meisha Kolbuc
Registered Psychologist and Canadian Certified Counsellor
Since 2012, Meisha has been a family counsellor and program consultant at the Calgary Eating Disorder Program with Alberta Health Services. Her practical and compassionate approach, combined with her ability to work with clients and professionals across the health care system, has helped to improve awareness and understanding of how to support individuals and families through eating disorder recovery. Miesha has participated in numerous research projects related to eating disorder treatment.
May Melnyk
Clinical Social Worker and Family Counsellor
In more than eight years as a family counsellor at the Calgary Eating Disorder Program with Alberta Health Services., May is proud to have helped many people, families and communities reclaim their lives. She specializes in relational/systemic therapy (meaning she focuses not just on individuals, but on individuals in the context of their relationships). May holds a master’s degree in clinical social work and a post-graduate diploma in couple and family therapy from the University of Calgary.
Jennie Mendoza
Registered Nurse
Jennie joined the Silver Linings Foundation in 2019, bringing her extensive experience with eating disorder treatment and recovery. She also works at the Alberta Children’s Hospital on the Pediatric Mental Health Unit, the Psychiatric Emergency Department, Unit 4, and the Calgary Eating Disorder Program in the day treatment, inpatient and outpatient settings. For more than 10 years, Jennie has applied empathetic listening and a calm communication style to helping people with mental and physical struggles.
James Murch
Registered Psychologist
As director of Grey Matter Psychology, a Calgary practice that provides assessment, therapy and treatment, James focuses on eating disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorders, gender identity and ADHD. In the past, he’s worked in community mental health, the justice system and post-secondary institutions. James is an advocate for his clients, recognizing that improving mental health for individuals often involves resolving broader community concerns or incorporating other supports.
Dr. Jorge Pinzon
Pediatrician and Adolescent Medicine Specialist
Jorge joined the Alberta Children's Hospital in 2007 and is also a clinical professor of pediatrics and psychiatry at the University of Calgary, where he researches child health and wellness. He’s spent much of his career in adolescent health, and for more than 10 years served as the pediatric director of the Eating Disorders Program at the British Columbia Children’s Hospital in Vancouver. Jorge is past chair of the Adolescent Health Committee of the Canadian Pediatric Society.

With a rare background as both an advanced sports nutritionist and an eating disorder dietitian, Jana has a deep understanding of the connection between body image, food, fitness and health. She helps all her clients work toward building a healthy relationship with food and increasing their body confidence. Jana specializes in disordered eating, emotional eating, and mental health and sports nutrition—and encourages her clients to live the healthiest life they can honestly enjoy.
Cendrine Tremblay
Chair of Silver Linings Foundation
Cendrine co-founded Silver Linings Foundation in response to her experience as a parent of a child with an eating disorder. During her family’s journey through the illness, Cendrine met many parents and practitioners who recognized the need for improving the continuum of care for eating disorders in Alberta. Cendrine now shares with Silver Linings her expertise in finance and management and experience in financial services, and the high-tech health care sector. She has more than 20 years of operations and oversight experience in not-for-profit organizations, through board and executive committee positions.
